Patricia McCormick to visit, February 7th at 2:00!
Author Patricia McCormick, nominated for a National Book Award for her controversial novel Sold, will be here at the library Wednesday, February 7th at 2 p.m. She'll be reading from her book, discussing the writing process, and offering advice to budding writers.Sold, based on actual accounts of children forced to work in brothels, is the harrowing tale of a young Nepalese girl sold into slavery by her unscrupulous stepfather in India.
A book signing will follow Ms. McCormick's presentation. We'll be raffling off several copies of Sold, but you've got to be there to win!
Also following the program will be a chance to test out some more furniture possibilities for the new teen area at the library. It should be quite the exciting afternoon!
